Privacy Policy

Introduction
Learning Curve is operated by Cognition Futures. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Learning Curve (learning-curve.ai). By using Learning Curve, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: child's birthday (month and year only — no name unless you add it), family context notes, and activity session observations. We do not collect names, photos, or location data by default. All child data is associated with your parent account, not stored as an independent profile accessible by others.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to: show you age-appropriate developmental windows and activities; track your child's activity history and observed milestones over time; improve the relevance of activity recommendations. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Third-party services
Learning Curve uses: Supabase for database and authentication (SOC 2 Type II certified); Vercel for hosting. Voice session audio is processed in real time and not stored after the session ends. We do not share data with educational institutions, employers, or insurers.
Data retention
Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of all data associated with your account at any time by emailing privacy@cognitionfutures.com. Deletion is processed within 30 days. Anonymised, non-personally-identifiable developmental pattern data may be retained for research purposes.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Learning Curve is a tool for parents and caregivers, not for children to use directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All child developmental data is entered by and associated with the parent account holder. Parents may review, update, or delete their child's data at any time through account settings.
Your GDPR rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to certain uses of your data; request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@cognitionfutures.com.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and access controls limiting who can view your data. No system is perfectly secure — if you become aware of any security concern, please contact us immediately at security@cognitionfutures.com.
Cookies
We use session cookies required for authentication and a small number of analytics cookies that do not contain personally identifiable information. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; some features (login, session persistence) will not function without session cookies.
