Peek-a-Boo Mirror Play

How it works

1. 1

   First, hold the mirror so your child can see themself. Smile and say, 'Look who's in the mirror!' Wait and see if your child looks at the mirror or at you.

   Now, cover the mirror with the cloth and say, 'Where did your child go?' Pause briefly, then uncover it and say, 'Peek-a-boo!' Watch how your child reacts.

3. 3

   Let's switch roles. Encourage your child to cover the mirror (or your face) with the cloth. Say, 'Your turn! Can you hide the mirror?'

4. 4

   Now, try making a funny face in the mirror and see if your child imitates you. Say, 'Can you do this?' and stick out your tongue or puff your cheeks.
