Counting Clap-Along

How it works

  1. 1

First, let's warm up. Hold up one finger and say 'one' clearly. Then encourage your child to copy you. Let's see if they can say 'one' after you.

  2. 2

Now, let's try counting to two. Say 'one, two' while holding up one finger, then two fingers. Encourage your child to repeat 'one, two' after you.

  3. 3

Let's go a bit further. Try counting to three. Say 'one, two, three' while holding up fingers. See if your child can repeat all three numbers after you.

  4. 4

Now, let's make it a game. Clap your hands and say a number (like 'one'), then pause and see if your child can say the next number ('two'). We'll take turns counting up to three.
