How it works

  1. 1

First, let's create a simple walking path. Place a few pillows or cushions about two to three feet apart on the floor. We'll use these as gentle stepping challenges. Then, hide a soft toy just beyond the last pillow where your child can see it.

  2. 2

Now, let's encourage your child to take those first independent steps. Stand a few feet from the first pillow with your arms open. Say 'Come to me your child! Let's find the treasure!' Watch how your child moves toward you or the pillows.

  3. 3

Now let's make it a true treasure hunt! Move the hidden toy to a new spot that requires your child to walk around a pillow. Say 'Oh look! Bunny moved! Can you walk to find them?' Observe how your child navigates the slightly more complex path.

  4. 4

For our final challenge, let's place the soft toy on a low, stable surface like a cushion or folded blanket. Say 'Bunny wants to sit up high! Can you walk to give bunny a hug?' Watch how your child manages walking to and potentially reaching up slightly.
