How it works

  1. 1

First, let's get your child standing at the furniture. Place them facing the sofa or table, with both hands holding the edge. Kneel nearby for support. Watch how they stands—does they bear weight on both feet?

  2. 2

Now, let's encourage cruising. Place a toy just out of reach along the furniture. Gently encourage your child to move sideways to reach it. Watch how they moves—does they take side steps while holding on?

  3. 3

Let's make it a game! Place another toy a bit farther along the furniture. Encourage your child to cruise to it. Notice if they can cruise longer distances or change direction.

  4. 4

Now, let's add a little challenge. If your child is cruising well, try placing a toy on a nearby stable chair or lower surface. Encourage them to cruise from the sofa to the chair. Watch how they handles transferring between supports.
