Sling Carrier Connection
Parent carries baby in a sling carrier, observing baby's comfort, social engagement, and physical positioning. The agent coaches the parent to notice secure attachment, visual exploration, and body-to-body communication — building trust, social bonding, and sensory integration through close contact.

What you'll need
Sling carrier properly adjusted to parent's body. Baby should be fed, dry, and alert but calm. Ensure carrier is secure and baby's airway is clear. Best done in a comfortable space where parent can move gently.
How it works
- 1~30s
Gently place your child in the sling, making sure their head is supported and they is positioned close to your chest. Take a moment to let them settle. Watch their face closely — does your child seem comfortable? You might see them relax against you, make eye contact, or let out a contented sigh. Tell me what you notice about their initial reaction.
Watch for: Baby shows signs of comfort and security when placed in close contact with parent in the sling.
- 2~40s
Now that your child is settled, start moving gently — maybe a slow walk around the room or some gentle swaying. Notice where your child is looking. Does they gaze at your face? Does they look out at the room from this new vantage point? Watch for signs of curiosity — wide eyes, turning their head, or tracking objects. What is your child paying attention to?
Watch for: Baby uses the secure base of the sling to visually explore the environment or engage with parent's face.
- 3~30s
For our last observation, pay attention to your child's body positioning. As you move, does they adjust their posture? Does they lean into turns or brace against movements? Notice if your child seems aware of their body in relation to yours — maybe they reaches a hand out to touch your arm or adjusts their head position. What body awareness do you see?
Watch for: Baby shows awareness of body position and makes adjustments while being carried in the sling.
