Bathroom Path Adventure

Parent creates a fun path with stickers or drawings leading to the bathroom, turning potty trips into a walking adventure. The agent coaches the parent to observe balance on narrow paths, stepping over obstacles, and independent walking confidence — building gross motor skills and bathroom autonomy.

What you'll need

Clear a safe walking path from child's play area to bathroom. Have stickers ready (foot-shaped or favorite characters). Ensure floor is clean and free of tripping hazards. Child should be wearing comfortable walking shoes or non-slip socks.

How it works

  1. 1~40s

Let's start by placing stickers close together to create a narrow path — about the width of your child's feet. You can make it winding or straight. Now invite your child to walk along the path, stepping on each sticker. Watch how they balances — does your child stay on the path or step off? Does they use arms for balance? Tell me what you notice about their walking.

Watch for: Child walks along a narrow path while maintaining balance and staying mostly on the path.

  2. 2~35s

Now let's add some challenge! Place stickers slightly farther apart so your child has to take bigger steps between them. You can even create a 'ramp' by placing stickers going up a small step or threshold into the bathroom. Watch how your child lifts their feet — does they step over confidently or hesitate? Does they need to hold onto something?

Watch for: Child steps up onto a raised surface or over a threshold with coordination.

  3. 3~45s

For our final challenge, let your child walk the entire path to the bathroom independently. Stand back and encourage them to go all the way to the toilet. Watch their confidence — does your child walk purposefully toward the destination? Does they look back for reassurance or go confidently? This builds both walking skills and bathroom autonomy.

Watch for: Child walks independently toward a destination with purpose and confidence.
