How it works

    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to develop your baby's sense of smell. Therefore we'll be exercising the physical developmental area, more specifically the olfactory sensory area. To complete this activity you will need a piece of cotton or sponge and some drops of an aroma related to Thanksgiving. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Baby look at an object or person at arm's length.

    Great, now let's try the next part. You can use a few drops of pumpkin extract or any flavor related to Thanksgiving. First, take a piece of cotton and dab it in an aroma. Then slowly pass it under your baby's nose several times. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Baby respond positively to touch.

  3. 3~30s

    One more thing to try. Next, rub the piece of cotton on your baby's forehead from left to right. Then down his cheek and all the way to his chest, tummy and legs so that his body is covered with a scent. You can repeat this activity all week using a different scent every day. Using this exercise, observe if your baby reacts towards and recognizes smells. Use kine-du to stimulate growth in your baby every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

    Watch for: Baby shift their focus between two objects.
