How it works

    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to stimulate verbal language and creativity through reading. Therefore, we'll be exercising the linguistic developmental area, more specifically, literary initiation. In this activity, seat it on the floor with your child and asking him or her, which is his or her favorite story. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Toddler answer simple questions about a story.

  2. 2~30s

    Great, now let's try the next part. Let's see what Choco want to do. Motivate your son or daughter to try and tell it to you, and when finished, ask him or her questions in regards to the story, the plot and the main characters. Don't worry if he or she changes the story a little bit. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Toddler know roughly 100 to 300 everyday words.

    One more thing to try. Let his or her creativity flow. What are they doing? During this exercise, observe if your toddler tells a story and answers questions about a story. The sweet smell of apple pie. Use kine-du to stimulate growth in your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

    Watch for: Toddler describe characteristics of objects, animals, or people (e.g., says 'red' and points at a red ball).
