    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to reinforce gross motor skills with stairs and ramps. Therefore we'll be exercising the physical developmental area, specifically your toddler's gross motor skills. To complete this activity you will need a ramp, a staircase, and a ball. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Little One retrieve items after throwing them.

    Great, now let's try the next part. Start this activity by placing yourself together with your toddler in front of a ramp and showing him or her how if you throw a ball up the ramp it will come back. And invite him or her to try it. Now ask your child to go up the ramp and try to throw the ball from the top. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Little One walk up ramps.

    One more thing to try. Then try the same exercise with stairs. During this exercise observe if your toddler co-ordinately throws and catches a ball and walks up ramps and stairs. This can add you to stimulate growth in your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?
