    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to learn to distinguish clean and dirty spaces. Therefore, we'll be exercising the social and emotional developmental area, more specifically adaptability. Begin by showing your child a picture of a dirty place and ask questions such as what do you see in the picture? you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Little One help with everyday chores, such as cleaning up toys.

    Great, now let's try the next part. Is it dirty or clean? How can you make this room look cleaner? Then give him or her a drawing of a trash can and ask him or her to color and glue pictures of trash inside the trash can. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!
