How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to encourage your child to get to know the colors in a creative way. Therefore, we'll be focusing on the Cognitive Developmental Area, specifically on learning about shapes and colors. To complete this activity, you will need green objects and a basket. Hide the objects around the room, making sure they're easy to find. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Toddler point to a green object when asked to.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Explain to your toddler that you will be pretending to be detectives. You will both be looking for green objects to collect them. Each time your child finds an object, encourage him or her to bend down and pick it up, so that he or she can work on his or her balance. Ask your youngster to point to the color he or she sees, and notice if he or she uses plurals when speaking. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Toddler point to a blue object when you ask.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Congratulate your little one and motivate him or her to continue to look for more things. This activity stimulates your child's creativity, imagination, and balance. It also helps him or her learn more about the colors. Use Canadu to stimulate growth in your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Toddler point to a red object when you ask.
