    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to stimulate the acquisition of new words and known phonemes. Therefore we'll be exercising the linguistic developmental area, more specifically the development and understanding of spoken language. Begin by reviewing with your toddler the pronunciation of the phoneme. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Little One try to copy the words you say.

    Great, now let's try the next part. Now read a rhyme that makes emphasis on the phoneme. Ask your toddler to repeat the rhyme with you. With this your child will be practicing the phoneme with vowels and words. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Little One imitate a sound like 'pa' after you say it.
