Let's be flamingos! III
A fun balance activity where you and {child_name} dress up as flamingos, make playdough feathers, and practice standing on one foot like a flamingo.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Let's start by getting into our flamingo costumes! Show your child the pink clothes and the flamingo picture. Talk about how flamingos stand on one leg. Then help your child put on their pink outfit. What do you notice as you get dressed?
- 2
Now let's make our flamingo wings with feathers! Take the pink playdough and show your child how to roll it between your hands to make long strips for feathers. Place them on the cardstock wings. How is your child doing with rolling the playdough?
- 3
Time to be flamingos! Tape the wings to your arms and say 'Flamingo time!' Show your child how to stand on one foot like a flamingo. Can your child try balancing on one foot? What do you notice?

Now for the grand finale - let's flap our wings while balancing! Show your child how to flap the cardstock wings while standing on one foot. How does your child do with combining the wing flapping and balancing?
