How it works

  1. 1

First, let's set the scene. Show your child the flamingo picture and talk about these amazing birds. Then put on your pink clothes together - you can say 'Look, we're turning pink like flamingos!'

  2. 2

Now let's make flamingo wings! Help your child cut or tear wing shapes from the pink paper and tape them to their arms. Say 'Now we have wings like real flamingos!'

  3. 3

Time to balance like flamingos! Hold your child's hand and say 'Let's stand on one foot like flamingos do!' Count how long they can balance.

  4. 4

Let's add some flamingo fun! Say 'Flamingos flap their wings while they balance!' Encourage your child to flap their paper wings while trying to stand on one foot.
