Square Apples II
To cultivate your child's creativity and fine motor skills through drawing, cutting, and pasting square apples on a tree.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
First, let's draw a big tree together on the cardstock paper. You can draw the trunk and branches, and invite your child to add some leaves or color it in. This gets your child engaged and warmed up.
- 2
Now, show your child how to draw a square on the red paper. Say, 'Watch me draw a square: four straight sides!' Then, encourage your child to try drawing one without looking at your example.
- 3
Next, let's cut out the squares. Help your child hold the scissors safely and guide them to cut along the lines. Praise their effort as they works.
- 4
Finally, paste the square apples onto the tree. Encourage your child to decide where to place them and press firmly. Then, celebrate your artwork together!
