How it works

  1. 1

First, let's introduce the concept of front and back. Pick up one card and show both sides. Say to your child, 'This side says FRONT - that's where we put the person. This side says BACK - that's where we put their tool.' Then ask, 'Can you show me which side is the front?'

  2. 2

Now let's try matching! Show your child the police officer printout and the police car. Say, 'This police officer helps keep us safe, and this police car is their special tool. Can you paste the police officer on the FRONT of this card?'

  3. 3

Now for the matching part! Say, 'Police officers use police cars to help people. Can you find the police car and paste it on the BACK of the same card?'

  4. 4

Let's try another one! Show your child the doctor and stethoscope. Say, 'Can you help the doctor? Paste them on the FRONT of a new card, and their stethoscope on the BACK.'
