Up and Down Balloon II
To strengthen {child_name}'s motor skills and teach {him_her} how to pull pants up and down while learning body parts.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Let's begin by showing your child how to trace body parts with the balloon. Stand facing your child and say, 'Watch me! I'm going to touch my head with the balloon.' Then gently tap the balloon on your own head. Now invite your child to try: 'Can you put the balloon on your head too?'
- 2
Now let's move downward. Say to your child, 'Now let's touch our shoulders! Watch me put the balloon on my shoulders.' Demonstrate, then say, 'Your turn! Can you put the balloon on your shoulders?' After shoulders, continue to belly, knees, and feet, naming each part.
- 3
Now let's practice the 'pants movement' - going from waist down to feet and back up. Say, 'Now let's practice like we're pulling pants up and down! Start at your waist, go down to your knees, then to your feet. Now go back up: feet to knees to waist!' Demonstrate the full up-and-down motion.

For our final challenge, let's name body parts as we go. Say, 'Let's play the naming game! When the balloon touches your knee, say 'knee!' When it touches your belly, say 'belly!'' Start with larger parts, then try smaller ones like elbows or nose if your child is doing well.
