How it works

   Let's start by choosing a melody your child loves. What's a simple tune they enjoys? Once you pick one, we'll change the words to make it about your child. Try singing: 'This is your child's happy song, they likes to sing along!'

   Now let's add body parts to our song! Try singing: 'These are your child's eyes so bright, these are your child's hands held tight.' Point to each body part as you sing. Encourage your child to point too!

   Time to include your child's favorite things! Sing about a beloved toy or activity: 'This is your child's teddy bear, they takes it everywhere!' Encourage your child to use words like 'my' or 'mine.'

4. 4

   Now let's see what your child remembers! Sing the first line of your song, then pause and see if they can fill in the next word or sing it back. Try: 'These are your child's...' and wait for them to say 'eyes!'
