    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to reinforce the recognition of family members. Therefore we'll be exercising the social and emotional developmental area, more specifically identity and bonding. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Little One swing arms in circles or side to side, copying your moves.

    Great, now let's try the next part. Begin by reviewing the members of your family with your child using a family portrait and asking him or her to identify each member. Now explain to your toddler that you both will be playing, Simon Says, where you will be Simon and here she will have to follow your instructions. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!
