How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by introducing the number 2. Say to your child, 'Today we're learning about the number two! Can you help me find things that come in pairs?' Then look around the room together.

  2. 2

Now let's practice holding up two fingers. Say, 'Let's use our fingers to show two! Watch me - I hold up these two fingers. Can you try?'

  3. 3

Now ask the age question. Say, '{Child_name}, how old are you?' Encourage them to say 'I am two' while holding up two fingers.

  4. 4

Let's reinforce the learning. Say, 'Let's practice one more time! How old are you, your child?' Then celebrate whatever response you get.
