How it works

  1. 1

Great! Now let's practice together. you, can you and your child try making the 'D' sound three times? 'Duh, duh, duh'. Watch how your child places their tongue.

  2. 2

Nice work! Now let's roll the dice. you, show your child the dice and say 'dice' with a big 'D' at the start. Then, take turns rolling and count the dots together. What number did you get?

  3. 3

Perfect! Now comes the fun part. For the number you rolled, think of that many words that start with 'D'. Like if you rolled a three, you could say 'dog', 'door', 'dig'. you, can you help your child come up with their 'D' words?

  4. 4

Let's play one more round! Roll the dice again, count the dots, and try new 'D' words. you, cheer your child on as they thinks of words. Maybe this time you can both make silly 'D' sounds while you play!
