Find the Verb III
Read a storybook with your child, pausing at verbs to discuss actions, ask questions, and encourage two-word phrase practice.

How it works
- 1
Start by telling your child, 'We're learning about verbs—action words! Let's read and find them.' After reading a page with a clear verb (e.g., 'The dog runs'), pause and ask, 'What is the dog doing?'
- 2
Read another page with a verb (e.g., 'The bird flies'). Pause and ask, 'What does 'flies' mean? What is the bird doing?' Encourage your child to describe or act it out.
- 3
Find a verb involving a character (e.g., 'The cat sleeps'). Ask, 'Can you tell me what the cat is doing? Try saying 'cat sleeps' or 'she sleeps.'
- 4
Choose a page with multiple actions (e.g., 'The boy eats and plays'). Ask, 'What is happening here? What are the characters doing?'
