How it works

    Let's begin with a 'what' question. Ask your child: 'What did you play with today?' or 'What did you eat for snack?'

    Now try a 'where' question. Ask: 'Where did you play?' or 'Where did you sit when you ate?'

  3. 3

    Let's try a 'who' question. Ask: 'Who did you play with?' or 'Who gave you the snack?'

  4. 4

    For a challenge, try a 'how' or 'why' question. Ask: 'How did you play?' (gentle/rough) or 'Why did you eat?' (hungry/tasty)
