How it works
- 1
First, let's set up the activity. Hide the big peg puzzle pieces in the sand so they're completely covered. You can also hide some small toys or shells. Then invite your child's friend or sibling to join. I'll help you guide them to work together.
- 2
Now that everyone's gathered, explain they need to find ALL the puzzle pieces hidden in the sand. Watch how your child and their friend work together. Do they take turns digging? Do they share discoveries?
- 3
Once all pieces are found, it's puzzle time! Watch how your child and the friend complete the puzzle together. Do they take turns placing pieces? Do they help each other figure out where pieces go?
- 4
After completing the puzzle, take a moment to reflect. Ask your child how it felt to work with a friend. Did they enjoy it more than playing alone? What was the best part of playing together?
