How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by preparing our egg carton. Show your child how to poke two small holes in each section of the carton. You can do this part while they watches safely.

  2. 2

Now let's match colors! Give your child the buttons and pipe cleaners. Ask them to match each button to a pipe cleaner of the same color and name the colors together.

  3. 3

Time to thread! Show your child how to thread a pipe cleaner through one hole, through the button, and back down through the other hole. Make sure not to press the button too flat against the carton.

  4. 4

Now let's practice buttoning! Give your child the ribbon with slits. Show them how to button starting from top to bottom using our new board.
