Construction Cities Adventure

Parent guides child through an imaginative construction game where they jump from a small stool into hula hoop 'cities' and sort/stack blocks. The agent coaches the parent to observe jumping coordination, balance control, and fine motor stacking skills — building gross motor development and hand-eye coordination through pretend play.

What you'll need

Clear play area with non-slip surface. Place three hula hoops in a line with space between them. Place small stool/step in front of first hula hoop. Have building blocks nearby (at least 15-20 blocks of different colors). Ensure stool is stable and height is appropriate for child's jumping ability.

How it works

  1. 1~45s

Let's start our construction adventure! Guide your child to stand on the stool facing the first hula hoop 'city.' Explain that construction workers need to jump into the city to start building. Encourage them to jump down from the stool into the hoop. Watch closely — does your child bend their knees and push off with both feet? How does they land — balanced or wobbly? Tell me what you notice about their jumping form.

Watch for: Child jumps down from small step/stool using both feet together, showing coordinated takeoff and controlled landing.

  2. 2~60s

Now for the construction part! Ask your child to be your sorting assistant. Have them pick up blocks from a pile and sort them by color into the different hula hoop cities. Watch how your child handles the blocks — does they use a neat pincer grasp or whole-hand grip? Can they carry multiple blocks at once without dropping them? Notice the hand-eye coordination as they places blocks carefully in the hoops.

Watch for: Child demonstrates hand coordination and control while sorting and handling multiple blocks.

  3. 3~75s

Time to build our cities! Ask your child to jump from the stool into the first city again, then use the sorted blocks to build a tower right there in the hoop. Encourage them to stack as many blocks as possible. Watch the full sequence — the jump landing, then transitioning to careful stacking. Does your child maintain balance after jumping as they starts stacking? How high can they build before the tower falls?

Watch for: Child stacks multiple blocks with control and precision, demonstrating fine motor skill and persistence.
