How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a drawing of a sheep, cotton balls, white glue, and cray paper. To begin, give your toddler a sheet of paper with a drawing of a sheep on it and cotton balls. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby wrinkle paper using both hands.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Invite him or her to paste the cotton balls on the sheep. That's what his wool looks like. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby rip paper with both hands.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Afterward, give him or her a sheet of green cray paper so he or she can make balls and paste them at the bottom of the previous drawing, simulating grass. Help your toddler if necessary. During this exercise, observe if your toddler paste materials in the right place and draws and paints using his or her fingers. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby us both hands together to manipulate objects, like opening a box.
