How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to enhance fine motor skills by pasting and decorating objects. Therefore, we'll be exercising the physical developmental area, specifically your toddler's fine motor skills. To complete this activity, you will need a previously wrapped can, material to decorate, and two tongue depressors. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Little One scribble by moving their entire arm from the shoulder.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. To begin this activity, give your son or daughter the previously wrapped can. Explain that you'll be making a drum, which you will have to decorate. Give him or her materials and glue to decorate the drum, and help him or her if necessary. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Little One only moves their wrist while scribbling.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Once the drum is finished, give your child a couple of tongue depressors, so he or she may use them as drum sticks, and let him or her enjoy by playing his or her little drum. During this exercise, observe if your toddler uses different materials while decorating, and draws and paints using his or her fingers. Use kinadu to stimulate roping your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Little One draw lines on paper using their finger.
