How it works

    Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to increase your toddler's vocabulary. Therefore we'll be exercising the linguistic developmental area, more specifically, the development and understanding of spoken language. To complete this activity, you will need a toy phone. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Great, now let's try the next part. In this activity, you will play with your child by simulating a phone call. Preferably use a toy phone or a phone that doesn't work anymore. During the call, ask your child questions like, how are you? Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Little One repeat words overheard in conversation.

    One more thing to try. What color is your shirt? During this activity, notice if your child begins to use words to express him or herself accurately. And if he or she responds to simple and short questions. Use kime-du to stimulate growth in your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?
