What you'll need

This helps reinforce your child's affective ties with you.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! Complete this activity with mom and dad, where all of you together will make believe you are going camping in a camping tent. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Little One express love to those familiar, like hugging them.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Improvise a tent by placing a sheet over a table and letting the ends fall all the way to the floor. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Little One feel shy or anxious when meeting new adults.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Play guessing games, tell each other jokes, have fun! This is a great bonding moment and will permit you to continue reinforcing the effective ties with your child. During this exercise, observe if your toddler plays with adults and points to mom and dad. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Little One know which things belong to family members, like Mom's purse or Dad's wallet.
