What you'll need

This helps exercise coordination and motor skills.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to exercise coordination and motor skills. Therefore we'll be exercising the physical developmental area, specifically your toddler's gross motor skills. Begin this activity by reviewing the parts of the body with your child. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Little One mimic hand gestures, such as clapping, waving, and pointing.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Now ask him or her to move specific body parts like his or her legs, head, hands, etc. Repeat this exercise with different body parts. At the end ask your toddler to point to a specific part of his or her body. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Little One imitate what friends do in play, such as building towers when they do.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Can he or she do it? This activity will stimulate your child's frontal lobe, responsible for motor skills. During this exercise, observe if your toddler moves each body part when he or she is asked to do so and deliberately imitates movements. Use kine-du to stimulate growth in your child every day. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Little One copy what caregivers do, like taking a toy phone from a purse and saying 'hello.'.
