Beanbag Challenge

This helps reinforce your toddler's balance while carrying objects. Practicing balance in a fun way is a great way to strengthen your toddler's gross motor skills. Give your child a small beanbag. Encourage her to walk while holding it in her hand without dropping it.

How it works

    Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a small bean bag. Give your child the bean bag and let him or her play with it for a few minutes. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

  2. 2~30s

    Great, now let's try the next part. Now, place the bean bag in your child's head and ask him or her to walk with it, trying not to drop it. Or a more challenging exercise, try placing the bean bag on different body parts, such as the head or shoulder. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    One more thing to try. This will help reinforce your toddler's balance and gross motor skills. During this exercise, observe if your toddler is able to carry an object while walking, and stays balanced when standing or walking. How does your child handle this? What do you see?
