Memories from the Park
Parent helps child match real objects from the park with corresponding pictures, stimulating memory recall and attention. The agent coaches the parent to observe how the child follows two-step instructions, recognizes familiar items, and connects objects to past experiences — building cognitive memory skills through playful matching.

What you'll need
Parent and child sitting together on floor or at table. 3-4 familiar park objects placed in front of child. Corresponding pictures (on phone or printed) available. Space should be calm with minimal distractions.
How it works
- 1~30s
Let's start with one object and its picture. Show your child the picture of the ball and say, 'Look, here's a picture of your ball! Can you find the real ball and bring it to me?' Watch how your child processes this two-step request — first finding the object, then bringing it to you. Does they complete both steps successfully? Tell me what you notice.
Watch for: Child successfully follows a two-step instruction involving finding an object and bringing it to parent.
- 2~35s
Now let's try another object — maybe the snack container or sun hat. This time, hold up the picture and say, 'This is your snack box! Remember when we had crackers at the park?' Then ask, 'Can you show me the snack box?' Watch if your child recognizes the item name and connects it to the picture and memory. Does they point to or pick up the correct object? Does they show any sign of remembering the park experience?
Watch for: Child recognizes and correctly identifies familiar objects by name when prompted with picture and verbal cue.
- 3~45s
Let's extend the game. Place two pictures in front of your child and say, 'Let's find both things!' See if your child can sustain attention through finding and matching two different objects. You might say, 'First find the ball, then find the hat.' Watch how long your child stays engaged with this matching task — does they complete both matches? Does they maintain focus for a minute or two of this activity?
Watch for: Child maintains attention on matching activity for extended period, completing multiple matches without distraction.
