What you'll need

You'll need a toy car, a rope. This helps stimulate your baby's fine motor skills by pushing or pulling toys.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a toy car and a rope. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby move toys with wheels.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Begin this activity by tying a rope or a string to a toy car. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby start and stops a toy on their own.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Next, bend your baby the rope so that she can pull it and therefore reach the car. Let her try it a few times so that she associates the action of pulling the rope with reaching the toy. During this exercise, observe if your baby uses objects to pull and push and if she starts and stops the movement of a toy. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby open and closes doors and drawers using the handles.
