Watch for: Little One follow simple, one-step instructions (like 'Pick up the toy').

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Show your child how to store a toy in a drawer or box that can be opened by using a key. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Little One find their way in familiar places, such as their parent's room.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Close it using the key and show your toddler how to open it again by turning it. Let him or her try to insert the key by himself or herself, and continue working on this for 10 to 15 minutes or until your little one shows signs of disinterest. This activity will teach your toddler how to concentrate enough to use a key, and therefore will also stimulate his or her fine motor skills. How does your child handle this? What do you see?
