What you'll need

You'll need water, a tub, toys that float. This helps stimulate your baby's fine motor skills and tactile sense.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need water, a tub, and toys that float. Begin by placing various floating objects in the tub filled with water. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby start and stops a toy on their own.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Next, show your baby how to push the toys in the water to make them move in a certain direction. You might need to help him or her by placing one of his or her hands directly on the toys. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby open and closes doors and drawers using the handles.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Observe your baby's reactions. Does he or she like playing with water? Be playing and moving the toys around the water. This activity will enhance your baby's growing sense of touch, as well as his or her hand coordination abilities. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby us both hands together to manipulate objects, like opening a box.
