What you'll need

You'll need a bag, small toys you can put inside it. This helps help your baby learn to empty, close, and REPLACE objects.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity you will need a bag and small toys you can put inside it. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby let go of things they're holding on purpose.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Place the toys inside the bag and ask your baby to pull them out. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby us both hands together to manipulate objects, like opening a box.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. You can help him or her to do so. Your baby will eventually learn to hold on to the end of the bag with one hand and pull the objects out with the other. Using this exercise, observe if your baby takes objects out of the bag, one at a time, and uses her hands and feet to make intentional movements. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby wrinkle paper using both hands.
