How it works
- 1~30s
Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a shapesorting cube and someone else to play with you. This activity consists of having two people. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.
Watch for: Baby interact with people they are familiar with by smiling and/or talking.
- 2~30s
Great, now let's try the next part. For instance, the parents or mom and a friend sit and play to a side of the baby without looking at him. Your baby should react by crawling towards you. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!
Watch for: Baby feel shy or anxious when meeting new adults.
- 3~30s
One more thing to try. Observe and then begin to play too. This activity will teach your baby how to establish contact actively and strengthen his social skills. During this exercise, observe if your baby interacts with people by joining in games and activities. How does your child handle this? What do you see?
Watch for: Baby thi helps reinforce your baby's social skills.
