How it works

   Alright, let's get started! The purpose of this activity is to stimulate your baby's fine motor and musical skills. Therefore, we'll be focusing on the physical developmental area, specifically developing hand coordination. To complete this activity, you will need a drum. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

   Watch for: Baby us both hands together to manipulate objects, like opening a box.

2. 2~30s

   Great, now let's try the next part. Give your baby a toy instrument like the drum and show him or her how to play it. Your baby might be startled by the sound at first, but he or she will begin to relate to the sound with the object. Let him or her play with the instrument freely. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

   Watch for: Baby let go of things they're holding on purpose.

3. 3~30s

   One more thing to try. Does your child enjoy it? See how your little one moves his or her hands. This exercise will stimulate your baby's motor and musical skills, and by joining in on the fun, you will strengthen the emotional bond that exists between you.
