This helps teach your baby to respond to simple orders.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, sit down with your baby and place a few toys that she could easily grab in front of her. Now ask her to hand you one of the toys. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby look at things or people when called by name.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Give mommy the duck. Clearly calling it by its name. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby know what 'no' means.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. You might need to help her and gently take the toy from her hand. Observe if your baby directs her sight towards known objects when they're named. And if she vocalizes after hearing your voice. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby understand three-word phrases, like 'Look, a dog!'.
