What you'll need

You'll need a ball. This helps reinforce your baby's ability to follow moving objects.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a ball. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby grab two things, one in each hand.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Roll the ball so your baby follows it with his or her sight. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby pull things closer to them.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Encourage your baby to reach it. During this exercise, observe if your baby follows objects with his sight and grasp some objects that are within reach with a dragging movement or by crawling. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby reach for an object with both hands.
