What you'll need

This helps reinforce your baby's ability to pay attention to sounds.

How it works

  1. 1~30s

Alright, let's get started! Start this activity by playing music and singing along. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

Watch for: Baby listen to people talking.

  2. 2~30s

Great, now let's try the next part. Now turn it off and watch your baby's reaction. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

Watch for: Baby choos to pay attention to a person or situation.

  3. 3~30s

One more thing to try. Do this several times so that your baby realizes where the sound is coming from. During this exercise, observe if your baby locates the source of the sound by turning her head in different directions. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

Watch for: Baby watch curiously and intently while you do things.
