How it works

    Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, place your baby in front of you and imitate all the sounds he or she makes. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Baby babble like they are in conversation with you and takes turns talking.

  2. 2~30s

    Great, now let's try the next part. Since language development occurs mostly through imitation, this activity will stimulate your baby to do so. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Baby repeat 'baba' or 'dada' kind of sounds.

  3. 3~30s

    One more thing to try. During this exercise, observe if your baby varies the tone and intensity of his battling, and if he laughs, shrieks and takes the initiative to vocalize. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

    Watch for: Baby answer with babbles when you talk to them.
