How it works

    Alright, let's get started! To complete this activity, you will need a flower and play-doh. you, watch your child closely — I'd love to hear what you notice about how they responds.

    Watch for: Baby open their hand to take something you give them.

  2. 2~30s

    Great, now let's try the next part. Begin by letting your baby enjoy her contact with different things, like touching a flower, squishing play-doh and caressing faces. Tell me what your child does — any reaction counts!

    Watch for: Baby reach for something and grabs it.

  3. 3~30s

    One more thing to try. Help your baby touch the different textures so she can feel the difference. During this exercise, observe if your baby opens her hand anticipating contact and if she takes objects and transfers them from one hand to the other. How does your child handle this? What do you see?

    Watch for: Baby hold things using all their fingers except the thumb.
