Let's Pretend — Imagination Station
Parent and toddler play a pretend scenario — feeding a stuffed animal, driving a toy car to the store, or making dinner in a play kitchen. Agent guides parent to observe the complexity of pretend play, social role-taking, and narrative building.

What you'll need
2-4 props for pretend play (stuffed animal, play food, toy phone, blanket, cups, spoons). Floor or table play space.
How it works
- 1~25s
Start a pretend scenario that your child can relate to. Try: 'Oh no, the bear is hungry! Should we make dinner?' or 'Let's take the baby for a walk!' Set it up and hand your child a role. Does they join in? Tell me what happens.

Here's a fun test of imagination — pick up something that ISN'T a phone (a block, a banana, a shoe) and pretend it's a phone. Hold it to your ear and say 'Ring ring! Hello?' Then offer it to your child. Does they play along and 'talk' on the not-phone?

- 3~20s
Let's see how the story grows. Continue the pretend scenario and see if your child adds new elements. Say 'Oh! The bear ate dinner. Now what should we do?' Leave it open. Does your child suggest or do something next in the story?

One more thing — during all this pretend, was your child playing a role? Like being the mama, the doctor, the cook? Did they assign you a role? 'You be the baby!' or directing you to do something in the scenario?
