Run and Fun — Zooming Around Together
Parent and preschooler play a running game outdoors or in a large indoor space. Agent coaches parent to observe running coordination, balance, speed control, and body awareness through a series of playful challenges like 'run to the tree' and 'freeze like a statue.'
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
What you'll need
Open, safe space for running. Identify 2-3 landmarks (tree, wall, chair, cone) about 15-20 feet apart. Child should be wearing safe shoes or be barefoot on grass.
How it works
- 1~15s
Okay, first just say 'Ready, set, GO!' and have your child run to the nearest landmark. Run alongside them if you want! As they runs, watch the legs — are both feet leaving the ground at some point, or is it more of a fast walk? Tell me what you see!

Now let's play freeze! Have your child run, and when you shout 'FREEZE!' see if they can stop. How quickly does your child stop? Does they stumble or can they stop in place?

- 3~20s
Fun! Now try this — have your child run to one spot, then when they gets there, call out a different spot to run to. Can your child change direction without falling? How does they handle the turn?

Last one — can you and your child take turns? You run to a spot, then your child runs to a spot. Does your child understand the taking-turns idea? And is they watching you run and copying?
