How it works

  1. 1

Let's start by looking in the mirror together. Point to your child's reflection and say, 'Look! There's your child!' Ask: 'Can you point to yourself in the mirror?'

  2. 2

Now let's talk about what makes your child special. Hold up one of their favorite toys and ask: 'What do you love about this toy? What's your favorite thing to do with it?'

  3. 3

Let's make some faces in the mirror! Say: 'Can you make a happy face? Now a surprised face! What face do you make when you're excited?'

  4. 4

Now let's celebrate your child's abilities! Say: 'Show me something you're really good at! Can you show me how you [jump high/sing loud/build tall]?'
