How it works

  1. 1

    Let's start by showing your child the first item. Pick up the spoon and say: 'your child, look at this spoon! Can you tell me about a time we used a spoon together?'

  2. 2

    Now pick up the toy. Say: 'Oh look, this toy! Can you remember playing with this toy? What did we do together?'

  3. 3

    Now show the sock. Ask: 'your child, here's a sock! Can you remember when we wore socks like this? Maybe when we went somewhere special?'

  4. 4

    Last one! Show the leaf or photo. Ask: 'Look at this {leaf/photo}! What does this make you remember? Maybe something we saw outside?'
