Kitchen Pattern Party
A playful activity where parent and child create and extend patterns using everyday kitchen items, building early math skills through hands-on exploration.
Opens a guided voice session in TogetherTime.
How it works
- 1
Let's look at the first pattern: spoon, fork, spoon, fork. {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'What comes next in this pattern?'
- 2
Now let's try a different pattern: cup, bowl, cup, bowl, cup. {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'Can you complete this pattern? What should go in the empty spot?'
- 3
Now let's make our own pattern! {Parent_name}, help your child choose three items to create a new pattern. Ask: 'What pattern can we make with spoon, cup, and fork?'
- 4
Let's find patterns around us! {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'Can you find something in the kitchen that has a pattern? Like stripes on a towel or tiles on the floor?'
