How it works

  1. 1

Let's look at the first pattern: spoon, fork, spoon, fork. {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'What comes next in this pattern?'

  2. 2

Now let's try a different pattern: cup, bowl, cup, bowl, cup. {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'Can you complete this pattern? What should go in the empty spot?'

  3. 3

Now let's make our own pattern! {Parent_name}, help your child choose three items to create a new pattern. Ask: 'What pattern can we make with spoon, cup, and fork?'

  4. 4

Let's find patterns around us! {Parent_name}, ask your child: 'Can you find something in the kitchen that has a pattern? Like stripes on a towel or tiles on the floor?'
